IRSCHARA

Dennis Irschara is from the Dolomites region of South Tyrol. The surname is Ladin — old, from this part of the Alps — and translates as 'from the bear forest.'

At twenty-two he left his home — and the world did not disappoint. India, Southeast Asia, Australia, Indonesia, the Americas, Europe. Colours, music, traditions, and moments where tears were more appropriate than a smile. He studied languages in Vienna, then spent several years working haute couture in Paris — where he understood that creativity is limitless, and that vision, colour and a single fold can change everything. The years that followed took him further still — Sicily, Dalmatia, the Adriatic coast. Years lived by the sea.

Eventually he returned to the Dolomites, where he now has his base. The ever changing colours of the mountains and the impressions of his continuous travels are what he translates into every piece he makes.
